Goji Berries

The goji berry, or Chinese wolfberry, Lycium barbarum, has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for many centuries. It is believed to have many important benefits including general strengthening of the immune system and promoting long life.

These Goji berries are wild crafted (grown in their natural habitat) in the hills of the Ningxia Region of China. They are collected at high altitude where the berries have to work harder, making them taste sweeter and become more nutritionally packed.

The berries are then 'Solar Air Dried' (not machine dried like some) to ensure a gentle drying process which allows the berries to maintain their nutritional qualities.

The Goji berry is a deep-red, dried fruit about the same size as a raisin. It has a mild sweet flavour rather like a cross between a raisin and a cranberry. It is chewy in consistency.
